'Upon starting a journey to freeze embryos, I was told I had extremely low egg reserve for my age and was recommended to abandon the process in favour of starting a family immediately. He was extremely accommodating of my fertility cycle, even coming in on a bank holiday to provide treatment the day before my first egg retrieval. The outcomes from the process have also far exceeded what I expected. The clinic told me to prepare for 3 or 4 rounds of treatment, but after 2 rounds I had collected enough eggs that had fertilised into healthy embryos to stop treatment. I absolutely credit Kieran with helping me achieve such positive outcomes in what is a very overwhelming process.'

I have worked with Kieran for a year and a half now, and he has supported both me and my husband through fertility, pregnancy, natural induction of labour and recovery. Conception took a long time and acupuncture was the only intervention we incorporated, which supported my menstrual cycle to regulate and get both my physical and mental health to an optimum place in preparation for conception. It's been wonderful to have a guiding hand through the process in Kieran, and I strongly feel that his support has not only enabled pregnancy but made it the most positive experience it could be. It also helped labour to begin spontaneously with contractions beginning 48 hours after treatment when I passed my due date. I also made it a priority to attend sessions following the birth to support my recovery, both physically and mentally. I continue to work with Kieran and highly recommend his professional and consistent treatment approach if planning to start a family.

I started acupuncture treatment with Kieran at Holistic Health at the start of 2021 as I wanted a more holistic approach to trying to get pregnant. Aged 41, I had encountered difficulties conceiving and had been told my fertility levels were low. I was new to acupuncture, but from the very first session Kieran put my mind at ease. As he asked detailed questions each session I was confident the treatment was bespoke to me. I found it much more relaxing that I expected. After two months of acupuncture and Chinese tea, I was delighted to learn I was pregnant and I continued treatment throughout my pregnancy. I found it helped me manage my anxiety and stress very well. My daughter was born in October and I’ve never been happier. I had heard that acupuncture can help with fertility from an article in the guardian so went to my nearest place and randomly met Kieran. He was lovely, initially he gave me a health appraisal mainly about diet and exercise and sleep and consequently gave me all sorts of lifestyle advice which i found invaluable. And then he started the acupuncture - it didn't make me relax as some of my friends had reported would happen... but it was quite soothing and something definitely felt like it was happening in a good health sort of way! Kieran was very professional throughout and very caring... and after the sessions with him my body felt very energetic and extra healthy!! Anyway, apart from anything else i was surprised to discover after one month of treatment from Kieran I was pregnant! So now i have a second daughter -- 2 months old.....I would so recommend trying Kieran for acupuncture for anything - fertility or otherwise!

Before seeing Kieran, my husband and I started trying for a baby in 2015 and it never crossed our minds that we would have any difficulties. After 2 years of trying and a rollercoaster of emotions we were referred to the fertility clinic. We found out that I had polycystic ovaries among other issues which were a barrier to me conceiving. After a gruelling IVF treatment we became pregnant in 2018 and were elated. However at 5 and a half months I went into early labour and we lost our beautiful daughter. We were devastated  and had another IVF treatment which resulted in an early miscarriage. This took a huge toil on me physically and emotionally and of course also left my husband devastated. We decided to take a break from the IVF treatment and look into more holistic treatments and I decided to try acupuncture with Kieran. We approached this with minimal expectations. Kieran was very patient, knowledgeable and always made me feel at ease during every session. He was able to answer every question that I had about acupuncture and it's benefits to not only improving my chances of getting pregnant but also my overall health. After a few months of treatment and one month before I was due to have my final IVF treatment on the NHS we found out that I was pregnant. We are now the parents of a beautiful 5 month old baby boy and we are still in awe. I would recommend this treatment to women who are also having fertility issues and wish that I had tried this prior to IVF. Thank you Kieran for your support and patience (with our many questions) through our ordeal.

Other conditions

Kieran Howse at Holistic Health Broadway Market is brilliant. I have osteoarthritis in my lower spine and found great relief after having acupuncture from Kieran. He really knows his stuff. I was suffering with a really bad episode of pain that my medication couldn't help and he honestly worked wonders so I always recommend him when anyone asks. As an aside....it could be just luck and coincidence in timing....but when there I mentioned to that I was trying for a baby and he placed a couple of needles which he said would help to stimulate ovulation....well I fell pregnant on my next cycle :) 

Highly recommend Kieran. I have had a series of acupuncture treatments for severe tennis elbow, after which I was pain free! As a plus, I mentioned a swollen foot and tiredness, and using acupuncture he cured those at the same time too! Kieran is very professional and also gives helpful advice about general well being. Very clean and relaxing setting. I would definitely use his services again.

After a course of treatment for my carpal tunnel syndrome I am now completely cured.

A repetitive stress injury in my thumbs was making my life as a musician very difficult,but after a short course of acupuncture the condition has improved immensely.

Kieran has helped me through some stress-related issues with a course of acupuncture sessions that included some great advice in his consultations. He is very professional with lots of experience and I felt looked after very well, not the least because he looks at the person holistically, so treating the symptom as well as looking at possible causes. He always makes time to explain things properly and has also emailed some additional info to follow up on previous sessions.

I saw Kieran for two years after my surgery. He not only helped me relax after my surgery but was also very supportive, a great guy who I would highly recommend.

I've had another fantastic acupuncture session with Kieran. This time he treated a knee injury I had suffered from running. I was completely pain free for the following 3 days after the session and have since felt a huge improvement!
